- OCC 868A is a one of a kind bull in Canada. He is bred for consistency.
- We have found a Red Angus bull in OCC 868A that does phenotypically what we are trying to do with our Black Angus program in a linebred, genetically prepotent package.
- OCC 868A has more Black Angus than Red Angus in his pedigree.
- All of his Red genetics go back to PCC Colorado Hobo and a 6807 daughter (OCC Vanessa 728G) that goes back to the Leachman Vanessa 5900 cow.
- All the great black bulls from the OCC program are in his pedigree like Emblazon, Homer, Headliner, Focus, Anchor, and OCC Dixie Erica 816B (Emblazon's full sister) makes 3 appearances.
- We are looking to OCC 868A to fix what the Red Angus breed still struggles with in Udder and Foot quality, as well as extreme ease of fleshing & natural muscling ability on forage alone.
